Frequently asked Questions:

Will the OPSol® Mini-Clip™ work in any Remington firearm?

Answer: Sorry to say, but the answer is, no. Unfortunately, the timing and extraction issues were the culprits.

Which Mossberg firearms does the OPSol® Mini-Clip™ work with?

The OPSol® Mini-Clip™ works with 12ga Mossberg 500, 500A, 590, 590A1, Maverick 88, and the 12ga Shockwave Firearm.

Does the OPSol® Mini-Clip™ work in any brand other than Mossberg?

No, because of timing and extraction considerations. The Mossbergs are the only platforms we’ve been successful with.

Is it legal to have an OPSol® Mini-Clip™ on my gun?

Does the OPSol® Mini-Clip™ work in Remingtons or Winchesters?

Unfortunately, no because of timing and extraction considerations. We were unable to get an adapter to run in the Remingtons or Winchesters.

Does the OPSol® Mini-Clip™ work in Semi-Auto Shotguns?

The short shells have a problem double feeding from the magazine tube with all the semi-autos we try.  In addition, timing and extraction of the semi-auto systems are unfriendly to the shorter shells.

Does the OPSol® Mini-Clip™ work in Mossberg 20ga shotguns?

No, however, we are waiting on Aguila to get us the specs for their upcoming 20ga offering.  We have prototypes and they work well.

Does the OPSol® Mini-Clip™ work in Mossberg 535 shotguns?

The Short answer is no. Several guys have cut the Mini-Clips shorter (feeding well is actually shorter than the 500s etc.) to run in the 535s.  We did not receive positive feedback regarding to it ever functioning, in any regard.

Does the OPSol® Mini-Clip™ work in Mossberg 835 shotguns?

No, it does not.

Amazon Update:

A notable gunwriter contacted Amazon Public Relations to ask about the counterfeit situation involving our OPSol® Mini-Clip™.  Shortly after, our attorney received an email from Amazon Brand Incidents to set up a conference call.  On the call they were friendly and cordial. They offered condolences for the situation and had already “cleaned up” the product page on Amazon.  All the counterfeit sellers were gone, except OPSol® Mini-Clip™ and curiously enough, Amazon.

We immediately inquired about Amazon as we have never sold them a single Mini-Clip.  Also told them that we placed three separate orders from the seller Amazon that were fulfilled with “co-mingled” stock; stock we believe to have been ours, marked beforehand.  We asked where Amazon acquired the stock to add to the “co-mingled” pot.

We were told that they would “dig in” to the matter and follow-up on the next week’s phone conference. Minutes prior to the second conference call, we could not find our OPSol® Mini-Clip™ anywhere on Amazon.  As soon as the call started, our attorney asked about the whereabouts of our page.  The Amazon team wondered out loud what the big deal was since [we] told them the previous week that [we] were done selling on Amazon. Absolutely incorrect and mind-boggling assertion. They then nonchalantly informed us that it was shut down because (after almost two years on Amazon including a previous review about a year ago) we violated the following:

This product has been identified as a gun magazine accessory or component, or a shotgun extension tube. Amazon policy prohibits the listing or sale on Amazon of gun magazine accessories or components, and shotgun extension tubes, including those marketed for air guns, airsoft guns, or paintball guns.

Our Appeal Response asserting that our product was incorrectly identified:

The OPSol® Mini-Clip™ is neither a gun magazine accessory or component.  The Mossberg shotguns that the OPSol® Mini-Clip™ functions with do not have magazines.  They have tube assemblies. To that point, it is not a shotgun extension tube and has nothing to do with that component of the shotgun.  The OPSol® Mini-Clip™, if anything, is part of the receiver’s elevator assembly. It is simply an adapter that allows a shorter shotgun shell to more reliably function in Mossberg shotguns. Being able to use the shorter shells reduces the recoil which is very important to female and elderly sportsmen.
